Four San Rafael streets are slated for upgrades using about $3 million in state gas tax dollars.
The San Rafael City Council adopted a resolution last week identifying the projects for funding under state Senate Bill 1 gas tax, approved in 2017. The project sites include Center Street; Lincoln Avenue; the Fourth Street and Second Street intersection at the Miracle Mile; and B Street, where a culvert will be replaced.
“All of these projects include a complete streets component to them, which means they will make improvements that will benefit and improve pedestrian safety and upgrades like bicycle safety,” said Joanna Kwok, a city engineer.
