WAUSAU – Music, light and art brought the old West Side Battery building back to life on Thursday night.
Nearly 200 community members showed their support for SOUP II, the second installation of Wausau SOUP, a project aimed to inspire grassroots funding for projects pitched by community members. SOUP was started in October by Nick O’Brien, the community engagement specialist for the economic development agency MCDEVCO.
The event brought four pitches to the table this month, vying for the pool of money collected as attendees entered the door.
