LAKEWOOD, Ohio — At the start of the second semester Lakewood High School students will find the Ranger Hub makerspace in a new location within the library.
“The Ranger Hub has been in operation for several years now, but the space was never big enough for a whole class,” Lakewood High School Principal Mark Walter said.
“So we decided to move it to a larger space, which is allowing us to not only have the individual kids who want to drop by to work on their creativity, but to have whole classes come in and work. That’s the big change in our format.”
While still located in the Lakewood High School Library, the new, roughly 1,500-square-foot venue was previously a conference room. The principal said the new space is double the size of the previous Ranger Hub, which includes 3D printers, a green screen, an emblazer and sewing machines.
