Students from across Cayuga County showed off everything they learned at the third annual STEM/Robotics Camp at the Cayuga-Onondaga BOCES when it concluded Friday.
The weeklong camp, which focused on science, technology, engineering, mathematics (STEM) and robotics, brought together more than 70 students from the area’s school districts to experience hands-on learning programs designed to pique their interest in the technology field at an early age.
“We, as educators, are trying to get these kids ready for jobs that don’t even exist yet,” said Megan Newhouse, one of the camp’s leaders and an eighth-grade science teacher at Moravia Middle School.
