After nearly three months as the new executive director of the Waukegan Public Library, Tiffany Verzani is looking ahead toward the library’s future, reaching out to all stakeholders to learn their wants and needs ahead of developing a new strategic plan.
Though decisions like hiring a consultant to help with the plan or how far into the future it should extend are not made, Verzani said she wants to gather ideas from a wide variety of individuals and organizations, starting with informal chats with interested members of the public.
Verzani will hold a snack and chat with any person who wants to share their ideas and meet her at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Pat’s Café on the main floor of the library in downtown Waukegan as the information gathering process begins.
