HUNTERDON COUNTY, NJ – The Hunterdon County Library System is looking forward to several innovations and enhancements for library patrons to enjoy in 2021, despite consistent pandemic-related safety and social distancing protocols in place.
The plan for the headquarters branch of Hunterdon’s Library System, at the county complex on Route 12 in Raritan Township, is to upgrade the facility, increase available meeting room space and technology and offer more variety in its community and reading or study-centric settings, all within its existing footprint.
While county capital funding has been approved through ordinances approved by Hunterdon’s governing body, the state is picking up $980,837 of the estimated $1.94 million total project cost, with $340,000 in philanthropic donation also directed to the county library.
