It’s not the Generator’s forever home, but it will do the job for now.
After leaving its longtime warehouse space in Sparks last year, the Generator arts and maker space is debuting its temporary digs in downtown Reno.
The Generator, best known for producing some of Burning Man’s most iconic sculptures, will host a public grand opening from 1 to 7 p.m. May 1 at its temporary location at 250 Bell St.
“People really need this right now,” said Jessi “Sprocket” Janusee, communications director for the Generator.
Janusee has been teary eyed on a number of occasions returning to a working, creative space and being around other makers. It’s been a tough year, she said, but the future is looking bright.
