GREAT FALLS — The Children’s Museum of Montana in downtown Great Falls needs help to fund its move into a new building. The museum plans to move from its current location near the Civic Center to the former Pacific Steel & Recycling building at 1401 3rd Street NW when the lease on the current building expires in 2023.

The move will give them 46,000 square feet more than their current building. To buy the building and get fully moved in, the museum needs $3.9 million, and a capital campaign is underway. As of Thursday, about $30,000 had been raised.
“Basically, we’ve just completely outgrown this building now. We have a lot of big ideas coming up, we’ve got different stuff going on.
