The Wayne State Student Center welcomed new additions for the 2023-2024 school year geared toward student creativity.
The new Makerspace and upcoming music rooms located in the basement offer resources for students to get in touch with their creative side.
Dean of Students David Strauss said the Makerspace, which opened in August, features a button maker, die cast machines, posters, paper and other creative tools.
“We really wanted to create a craft area,” Strauss said. “The other thing with that is really trying to move all the arts and crafts type things to happen in the lower level so that they’re always there.
