The University of Arizona Museum of Art is giving kids the chance to create, invent and experiment in a makerspace environment this summer.
It’s called Tinkerlab and it features hands-on collaborative engineering and art activities that are fun for kids.
You can drop in for free with regular museum admission from 10 a.m. to noon on Thursdays.
Each maker day has themed activities designed for kids of different ages. Here’s the schedule.
3D Tech, June 21 and July 19: Your kids ages 6-12 will learn about 3D modeling, scanning and printing by playing with 3D printed race cars and downloading a mini model of themselves.
E-Textile Robots, June 28 and July 26: Children ages 6-12 create their own light-up robot figurine using e-textiles.
