FRANKFORT, IL — In November, the Friends of the Frankfort Library held a ribbon cutting to celebrate updates to their Book Sale corner in the library.
Library Director Amanda Kowalcze said that updates to the corner included new paint and updated shelving to make the area more open and inviting.
The Friends of the Frankfort Public Library is a nonprofit dedicated to raising funds for Frankfort Public Library. The Friends hold a variety of events to support the library, including an upcoming Winter Art Market on Jan. 28 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Friends have provided over $100,000 of financial support over the last five years, which has included Hoopla eBooks, new booth seating in the Teen Area, a new 3D printer for the makerspace, and Summer Reading Program prizes.
