A new plan to guide the next 10 years of downtown Greeley is set to go before the city council next month.
City officials over the past nine months have worked with downtown stakeholders to craft the new plan, which identifies areas where new developments, infrastructure and services can facilitate continued growth and a higher quality of life for people who live, work and play in downtown Greeley. In developing the plan, officials also conducted community outreach, including a survey with more than 1,100 responses in English and Spanish.
A top priority for physical improvements to the area is redeveloping and repurposing underutilized surface parking lots and vacant buildings and lots, according to the survey.
