Renovation work is progressing well to the former DWP building on High Pavement in Sutton, which will house the brand-new Maker Space.
Now the Council is looking for people who would be interested in using the space to come forward. The Maker Space at High Pavement House will be the only facility of its kind in Nottinghamshire outside of the city centre.
As part of the £6.27m Future High Streets Fund that was secured by Ashfield District Council, High Pavement House will be transformed to include office and education space.
The ground floor will house the Maker Space, a place for like-minded people to meet and share their love of creating, crafting, making, and inventing whilst accessing the machines and skills to help their projects come to life. The Maker Space is set to open in spring 2023.
