On Dec. 20, 2025, the Spencer County Public Library was presented with nearly $30,000 by Main Street America and T-Mobile. The grant works with the Main Street America organizations to advance shared prosperity, create resilient economies, and improve quality of life in small, rural communities.
Last week, the library gave an update on the project.
The Makerspace will contain equipment needed to build real-world skills, allowing adults and the next generation of the workforce to compete in emerging fields. The library aims to equip Spencer County residents with the tools and education to advance knowledge, and strengthen our community by allowing group learning opportunities.
