The Salvation Army in Jacksonville is ready to take significant new steps and expand existing programs now that it has found a new home in a building on the campus of the former MacMurray College.
Capt. Chris Clarke said The Salvation Army signed a purchase contract and the organization will be moving into the building formerly known as the Gamble Campus Center, 621 E. Beecher St., early in 2023.
The larger space will allow for the addition of new programs including an art center, a maker space, a recreation/teen center and new programs for children seniors and families.
