Lincoln City Libraries invites the public to a Makerspace open house on Saturday. It will showcase new traveling kits of Makerspace tools and projects designed to inspire young people to create projects in an innovative and collaborative way.
The LINC-in@LCL, a “Learn, Innovate, eNgineer and Create” event, will be 3-5 p.m. at Bennett Martin Public Library, 136 S. 14th St.
Following brief demonstrations of each process, participants will be encouraged to explore and create using the new items, including a sewing machine, Ozobot robots, a Makey Makey kit, Zoob building sets and Lego Mindstorms. A 3D printer will also be demonstrated.
Community members with tools and skills are also invited to share their expertise at the open house. To reserve demonstration space, contact Julie Beno, 402-441-8535.
