FLINT, MI – Machines roared and tools clattered as people gathered for a local event aiming to highlight local artists and bring awareness to creative opportunities for Flint residents.
Night at the Makerspace on Tuesday evening was hosted by Factory Two, a makerspace that provides tools, equipment and training to its members.
The space, located at 129 N. Grand Traverse St. in Flint, is open from noon to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday, noon to 4 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.
At the event, ten artists and makers provided demos of their craft, ranging from guitar making, screen printing and blacksmithing
Assistant Manager Chris Bohinsky said the event was a way of welcoming back people to the space after a year utilizing virtual methods of interacting with members.
