In the five years that Berks LaunchBox has existed, it’s helped a lot of entrepreneurs turn their ideas into businesses.
In 2021 alone, the Penn State Berks business incubator provided services to 115.
Over the next several years, that number will likely grow. And that’s due in no small part, to the extraordinary generosity of a trio of donors.
The donors, who have asked to remain anonymous, recently gifted Berks LaunchBox a total of $1.2 million. That amount has been matched by a pair of programs at Penn State — the LaunchBox Matching Program or the Economic Development Incentive Matching Program — to provide the LaunchBox with a total endowment of $2.4 million.
