ST. LOUIS (KMOX) — The tech workshop that helps kids discover their future career passions is back open after a COVID-related closure.
Both MADE For Kids on Delmar Blvd. and its Kirkwood sibling for younger kids, The Magic House, now require reservations to ensure physical distancing.
The Magic House has been an attraction since 1979, but MADE For Kids just opened last year. “MADE” stands for makers, artists, designers, and entrepreneurs.
Carrie Hutchcraft says they hope early exposure to creative activites like coding, laser cutting, game design, and stop motion animation will help kids discover careers “so when they’re in high school and picking courses, something maybe sparks them now to have that interest.”
