Families from Katy to Richmond are being given another option for high school thanks to Harmony Public Schools.
Harmony Public Schools is a “system of 58 Texas public charter schools,” according to its website. It claims to have a 100 percent acceptance rate for graduates wanted to continue with schooling at a collegiate level.
Harmony Public Schools has scheduled a groundbreaking on Monday, Aug. 23, for its newest Houston-area campus at 21650 Bellaire Blvd. in Richmond. The new campus will be the sixth in Fort Bend County and is expected to accommodate 700-800 students in ninth through 12th grades. It is scheduled to open in time for the 2022-23 school year. The campus will include physics, biology, chemistry and engineering labs, makerspace and a soccer/football field.
