Dear CPS Families, Colleagues, and Supporters,
From the classroom, to the athletic field, to the community, our District’s students show us every day that “the best are with CPS.” Earlier this week, it was my pleasure to recognize a handful of these accomplished students at the first-ever CPS Champions celebration.
This event was hosted by Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson, whose years as a CPS teacher give him a unique perspective on who our students are and all that they have to offer. He had the idea this year to showcase some of our District’s most accomplished students at the UIC Forum, which I was eager to support.
