Library Director Megan Bartolowits recently announced that the library has been selected as a recipient of the Pilcrow Foundation Children’s Book Project.
Bartolwits also announced the launch of the library’s new Makerspace Room, made possible through funding from the Tuscola County Community Foundation’s Future Youth Involvement Fund.
The Pilcrow Foundation supports rural public libraries by providing a 2-to-1 matching grant to help purchase up to $1,200 worth of new, high-quality hardcover children’s books.
Bartolowits said that thanks to the generous support of a local donor, Findlay’s Organics, the library will be able to purchase $750 worth of new children’s titles, allowing it to expand and enhance its collection for young readers in the community.
