The New Hope-Solebury School District hosted its first STEAM Expo event in May to show off the components of its brand-new, state-of-the-art STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) Wing.
Completed in February, the new wing includes a robotics arena, media production studio, high-speed computer lab, engineering makerspace and manufacturing lab. For the first time, students will engage in hands-on STEAM learning experiences using professional-grade technologies.
“We are incredibly excited about this new space and all of the potential it holds for our students,” shared Dr. Amanda Benolken, Director of Education. “The kind of learning we can facilitate in this space will help students develop essential skills for their future: how to create, question, collaborate, and problem-solve effectively.”
