Livermore Grieves Students Killed In Crash With Semi-Truck

LIVERMORE, CA — On Tuesday, Livermore grieved the loss of two high school students and a young adult killed in a crash with a semi-truck Monday night.

Students at Livermore and Del Valle high school were killed in the crash, along with a Vineyard High School alumnus who was related to one of the students, said Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District Superintendent Kelly Bowers.

LVJUSD’s crisis team will be providing grief and trauma counseling to the schools community, she said, and Livermore will come together to comfort one another.

“At this time of year when we take time to celebrate, appreciate and cherish our family and friendships, it is particularly somber that we instead acknowledge such a devastating loss to our schools and community,” she wrote in an email to the LVJUSD community. “This news shocks and saddens us and serves as a reminder that life is…
