POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. — Ten not-for-profit organizations will share more than $232,000 in federal COVID-19 relief funding for programs that directly benefit Dutchess County’s youth.
County Executive Marc Molinaro on Monday announced a second round of grants totaling $232,381 was awarded as part of the county’s Learn Play, Create:Supporting Our Kids grant program.
The grant program is part of the county’s “Dutchess Invests” initiative, unveiled by Molinaro in June which provides a blueprint for spending the $57 million in federal American Rescue Plan funding for youth program allocated to Dutchess County.
From the federal funding, Molinaro allocated $13.1 million for the Learn, Play, Create: supporting Our Kids initiative, with $3 million directed toward the grant program for not-for-profits. The remaining $10 million will be used for the demolition of the old Dutchess…
