In this episode of Catalyst Radio we feature a nonprofit that just opened its doors in February – The Geek Group. The Geek Group provides access to science, technology, engineering and math by developing programming and facilities for individuals and institutions to learn, explore, innovate and play at an independent pace according to their needs.
Josh Spencer, director of development, is in studio today to talk about how the focus of this “makerspace” is to provide access – whether that is to their machine shop, robotics lab, laser lab, or any of the other many features of the facility located on the old YMCA building at 902 Leonard St. NW.
