BRISTOL – Main Street Community Foundation has awarded $161,830 to 47 organizations in Bristol, Burlington, Plainville, Plymouth, Southington, New Britain, Newington and Wolcott through its competitive grant cycle.
Samantha Rajotte, scholarship and program officer with the Main Street Community Foundation, said these grants will help to improve the lives of residents in the communities the foundation supports.
“They are for things such as basic needs, student enrichment, historical preservation, animal welfare and youth sports,” she said.
Susan Sadecki, president and CEO of the Main Street Community Foundation, added the organizations receiving grants include social service agencies, along with historic preservation, arts, educational, health, animal welfare and recreation organizations.
