Grant County Extension Office staffers will be kicked out of their workspace, but for good reason. Chris Ammerman, the county’s agriculture and natural resources agent, says it’s all due to a much-needed renovation.
And the best part of it — “or what I’m particularly proud of …” Ammerman said — is that no tax increase will be necessary to pay for the construction.
What’s to come
The current facility, built in 2009 and located on Baton Rouge Road in Williamstown, will be gutted and 8,000 square feet added on, doubling the current office size to roughly 16,000 square feet.
