DOVER — When Dover High School librarian Kristin Whitworth was a little girl, her mother took her to the Nashua Public Library every week, sparking what she calls a lifelong love for the library.
When Whitworth first thought about starting a career in education, she thought she’d be an English teacher but later realized her passion lay elsewhere. After receiving a suggestion that she should pursue becoming a librarian instead, Whitworth said she had a “light bulb moment.” She pursued a master’s in library science from Simmons University in Boston and started out as a public librarian before transitioning into school libraries.
