Mentor Public Library plans programs to introduce people to makerspace

Mentor Public Library invites everyone to discover the state-of-the-art makerspace at The Hub inside of Mentor High School with a trio of programs this June.

Those programs are:

• Makerspace 101 — At 6 p.m., June 6, learn about machines in the makerspace, including a large-format printer, T-shirt press and Cricut Maker. Also, see examples of projects that can be made with them.

• Laser Engraver 101 — At 5:30 p.m., June 13, find out how to make custom cut and engraved projects with a laser engraver, complete with a demonstration.

• Custom T-Shirts 101 — At 5:30 p.m., June 20, discover how to design T-shirts or tote bags with makerspace’s vinyl cutter, Cricut Maker, sublimation printer and heat press.

All of these programs are free to attend, open to all ages, and will be hosted at The Hub inside Mentor High School, according to a news release. Due to limited space,…
