Boulder Valley teachers switched to learning mode this week for lessons on makerspaces, design thinking and coding.
The school district hosted Innovate@BVSD expo, a two-day session at Monarch High that included technology workshops, a pop-up makerspace and model classrooms to show flexible furniture options from approved vendors.
About 190 teachers from Boulder Valley and other area school districts attended the event, which ended Thursday.
Heather Lister, an educational consultant and former school librarian, gave a keynote talk encouraging creativity and led a session on creating a “low-tech” makerspace.
