Got a little bit of extra time on your hands, and wondering how to fill it? Well if you’re a kid in Strathmore you can pick up one of the library’s Makerspace kits and let your imagination get going.
Strathmore Municipal Library director Rachel Dick Hughes talks about what a Makerspace is. “A lot of libraries and schools have spaces where they just have different supplies and materials that kids can use to be creative.”
“So essentially what we’ve done is just assemble a variety of supplies. There are no instructions on what you should create out of it, or how to assemble things inside it.
