If you drive by the Strathmore Ag. grounds this weekend you might catch a small glimpse of some rodeo action.
CEO of the Strathmore and District Agricultural Society, Ryan Schmidt explained that they are hosting a high school rodeo this weekend at the grounds.
“Strathmore has the longest-running high school rodeo in the province of Alberta and we weren’t able to have it last year because of COVID-19 restrictions. But for this year, the entire Alberta High School Rodeo Association has received an exemption to host their events.”
“We wanted everyone to know the event was happening this weekend in Strathmore, but that it is approved by AHS with very strict requirements which we must follow. For instance, no attendees are allowed. Masks are required at all times, and we’ll only be having 10 kids come in at a time.”
Unfortunately, no spectators are allowed but…
