Superintendent reviews Covid response, looks to future events

On a recent day in the Garden City schools, children were doing what kids do best — enjoying the sunshine-filled day, spending time with their classmates for outdoor afternoon recess as well as scheduled ‘mask breaks.’ The picture symbolizes how the return to in-person school has been a phenomenal success in Garden City. 

Through the first week of April 2021 Garden City Union Free School District has seen zero transmission of COVID-19 reported or confirmed within the schools’ settings. Superintendent of Schools Dr. Kusum Sinha explains that there are “none whatsoever” recorded, including any that would be between faculty or staff members and not involving students.
