LAS CRUCES – For part of extended learning this year, Organ Mountain High School partnered with Cruces Creatives to allow students to express their creativity through murals on the school’s walls.
Cruces Creatives is a local nonprofit “makerspace.” At OMHS, two muralists dedicated time to teaching students about the history of spray paint art, then showed them how to use the medium.
“(Cruces Creatives) gives power to the arts and artists,” said muralist Celina Corral. “I believe that working together with Organ Mountain High School and the youth is (empowering) younger artists.”
