Jun. 6—The Lakeland Community College Teachers Guild will again be hosting “DesignCampCLE,” a free, professional development experience held at the college’s HIVE Makerspace.
The event takes place from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. June 12 at 7700 Clocktower Drive in Kirtland.
According to the college, HIVE’s DesignCampCLE engages and immerses educators in hands-on activities designed to foster authentic connections as teachers participate in a mini-design cycle while exploring the phases of human-centered design: Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype and Test.
The theme for this year’s camp is “Play,” designed for K-12 educators to “joyfully experience” design-thinking practices through active participation and authentic learning.
DesignCampCLE, now in its fourth year, began in 2020 as a collaboration between the guild and HIVE.
