ArtCenter goes small for exhibition
Lighthouse ArtCenter is thinking big this summer by going small.
The ArtCenter celebrates homes of all sizes this summer with two concurrent exhibitions, “Summer Home” and “Super Summer 2.0,” open through Aug. 7.
“Summer Home,” in the Spencer Gallery, features the original dollhouse collection from Jupiter Island resident Lucy Bassett Andrews, whose grandfather founded Bassett Furniture. On loan from her son Douglas B. Andrews, the collection of three dollhouses is known for the miniature art adorning the walls, by such renowned artists as Cy Twombly, Julian Schnabel, Ross Bleckner, Donald Baechler, Rebecca Warren and Philip Taaffe.
