THOMASVILLE- Thomas County students at Garrison-Pilcher Elementary School visit the school Media Center regularly to engage in literary lessons and makerspace opportunities. Media Specialist Elexis Griffin’s latest lesson revolved around the book “Bad Apple: A Story of Friendship.”
Griffin started her lesson building interest by giving clues about a group of objects in a basket: a sphere, grows on a tree, can be red, green, or yellow, can be sweet or tart, and is good with peanut butter or caramel. Once they guessed it was an apple, Griffin pulled one out of the basket and had them observe it.
