College of the Desert is eyeing another expansion in the eastern Coachella Valley, this time in the City of Coachella.
Although the project is in its early stages, COD leaders are already discussing specific plots of land in downtown Coachella for possible use as a new campus or another learning facility, according to COD officials and others.
The new location would add to College of the Desert’s existing east valley presence at its Mecca/Thermal and Indio campuses.
“We actively looking at possibilities, but we haven’t finalized anything yet,” said Interim College of the Desert President Jeff Baker of the Coachella project.
