The Innovation Cluster of Peterborough and the Kawarthas is searching for a new chief executive officer after announcing Tuesday that longtime CEO Michael Skinner and president John Gillis are stepping down.
The pair will depart from the organization at the end of the year.
“The Innovation Cluster has always been a labour of love and our passion for supporting business growth and entrepreneurship in our community will not end with our departure,” stated Skinner and Gillis in a joint press release.
The Innovation Cluster is a not-for-profit organization that assists innovative and determined entrepreneurs in the formation and growth of their technology-based companies.
Skinner, the founder and CEO of Operitel, an education software company that was later bought up by Open Text, joined the Innovation Cluster’s board of directors in 2012.
