JACKSON, MI– The annual summer Learning Fair will provide free activities for children for its 27th year after last year’s COVID-19 pandemic hiatus.
The Learning Fair is set for noon to 7 p.m. July 8 and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 9 at Northwest Elementary School, 3757 Lansing Ave. The event is free and offers more than 80 hands-on activities for children of all ages.
Free lunch is served from noon to 3 p.m. both days. Concessions are also available.
Angela Klobuchar has seen how stressful this school year has been for children, as she doubles as the event’s coordinator and a Northwest Community Schools teacher. She said she’s overjoyed to be able to run the fair again.
“Don’t get me wrong, some of (the students) have rallied and been very successful this year, and some who I’ve known before to be successful were not and I saw what kind of stress this caused for them,”…
