Ground-breaking Ceremony of the Anambra Makerspace a collaborative effort between the Anambra State Government and UNDP

Anambra, 13 November 2024 – UNDP in collaboration with the Anambra State Government, held a groundbreaking ceremony of the UNDP Makerspace in Anambra. This is part of UNDP’s efforts to support the advancement of the state’s innovation ecosystem enabling the community to support young people to design scalable innovative solutions to address development challenges in Nigeria and the African continent at large. The Makerspace aligns with H.E the Governor’s vision on the Solutions Innovation District (SID) initiative, which aspires to build a community of local innovators and social entrepreneurs with the capacity to solve local, regional and global problems.
