Greensboro community is getting ready for all the fun, food, and fireworks they expect on the Fourth of July, and UNC Greensboro will be in the center of the festivities.
UNCG is a sponsor at Fun Fourth this year, presented by Downtown Greensboro, Inc. (DGI). The day begins with the annual Freedom Run starting at 7:30 a.m. followed by Freedom Fest along Elm Street at 1-6 p.m.
UNCG sponsors Zone 4, bordered by Smothers Place, Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive, and Lewis Street. There, partygoers will find karaoke and line dancing led by DJ Jamie Leigh, as well as bachata and salsa street-style dancing with Artistika. Brand new this year is the “Beat the Heat” water play park with a slide, a dunk tank, and sprinklers to keep cool.
