GARDNER — “It’s not goodbye, it’s see you later.”
That was how Tracie Pouliot put it as she closed the doors to the Chair City Community Workshop, where she has served as director for the past six years, for the final time on March 29. Pouliot recently announced that she was joining a team of residents dedicated to establishing the Chair City Legacy Makerspace pilot program, which is expected to open in a temporary location within a few months.
Pouliot said she opened the workshop location on Central Street with the mission of publishing a series of oral history books dedicated to honoring the accomplishments of a dozen residents who played key roles in the city’s history of furniture manufacturing.
