A hearing examiner has found that the County College of Morris wrongfully dismissed six nontenured faculty members in March 2021, and is recommending that five of them be offered back their jobs, with back pay and benefits.

CCM did not renew the employees as retaliation for their union activities, a violation of the New Jersey Employer-Employee Relations Act, according to Lisa Ruch, a hearing examiner for the state Public Employment Relations Commission (PERC), who issued her findings last month.
Union meetings and social media posts criticizing CCM President Anthony Iacono were protected activities under the Act, Ruch wrote.
