Beginners learn to weave with rushes from Gilles Lake

Menaywayn Sandy, 10, and her mother, Sue Spence, learn a basic weaving technique on a cardboard loom at the C.M. Sheilds Centennial Library in South Porcupine on Saturday. The workshop was led by Sylvia Martin, founder of the Porcupine Handweavers and Spinners Guild.
