My family has had the good fortune of living near the Indy South Greenwood Airport for quite some time.
My dad can tell which plane is in the sky just by the sound of its takeoff, and every once in a while we’re treated to something special like the arrival of a B-17 Bomber. When the Superbowl was in Indy, we got very used to the sound of small jets idling on the runway after dropping off sports fans excited to get to the game. My nephews love to run up and down the fence, waving to the pilots, racing them across the field. As backyard neighbors go, a regional airport isn’t so bad.
