FRIDAY-SUNDAY | MILWAUKEE IMPROV (MAIN ROOM)

The self-dubbed “happiest comic in America” Rob Little is having a four-day stint at Milwaukee’s Improv’s (20110 Lower Union St.) main room this weekend. He’ll be making light of personal hardships in the energetic set. 

2. Independence Celebration

FRIDAY-SUNDAY | LIONS LEGEND PARK

Franklin’s three-day Fourth of July festival has a carnival, a food court and live music. On Saturday, a 32-team cornhole tournament starts at 3 p.m., and the fireworks show starts at 9 p.m. The Independence parade takes place Sunday at 1 p.m., The day will also include an ice cream social, face painting and live music from The Jimmys Band and Almighty Vinyl Band.
