Members of the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine’s Class of 2027 officially began their medical education journeys with orientation during the last week of July. The 51 matriculating students were chosen from 6,184 applicants, an acceptance rate of less than 1 percent, as the school remained one of the most selective in the country.
