AVON LAKE, Ohio — Even during a pandemic, the energy and creativity of entrepreneurs never fails to shine through.
The Maker Space Studios opened in Avon Lake Friday (Oct. 2). Mayor Greg Zilka did the honors by cutting the city’s traditional red ribbon welcoming a new store into the business community.
Economic Development Director Ted Esborn said: “We said in the Comprehensive Land Use Plan adopted last year that we want businesses that provide unique experiences for our residents. I think that, over time, The Maker Space Studios will become a great example of what we had in mind.”
Lisa Bridenbaker, an artist and managing partner of the venture with owner Christine Scott, said, “(Our) opening will come as an exciting development for home-based artists in Avon Lake and the surrounding area.”
